I am currently Lead User Experience consultant on the Microsoft Common User Interface Demonstrator project, responsible for vision, scope, design and delivery of future-looking inspirational technology artefacts which are clinically relevant and compelling.

My key skills are interaction, visual & information design, including concept development, refinement and production for digital or print media projects with the communication, visualisation and realisation of ideas being my strongest asset. Through research and practice I have developed a thorough understanding of user-centred design principles and their effective application.

In 2004, I proposed, created and piloted the DIVO (Digital Interactive Video Online) Project, a participatory filmmaking initiative which uses technology to promote intercultural dialogue. The project was supported by the British Council, the British High Commission and the Guardian Newspaper Ltd. Phase 2 is currently being planned. The project has been recognised by DfID and the British Satellite News while the project documentary is currently broadcasting on the Community Channel, with plans for Teachers' TV in the UK.

I was awarded a PGCHE (Post Graduate Certificate - Higher Education) in 2003 and am an accredited pratitioner of the Higher Education Academy, the professional standards body for the UK Higher and Further Education sectors.

My position as senior designer at ElectronicInk included responsibility for sitemapping & wireframing for transactional products, online applications and corporate websites as well as the inspiration and integration of a visual aesthetic. Also responsible for refinement of in-house design methodology and overseeing junior staff.

I incorporate academic and research led responses with professional practice. Completed and current projects are listed on the left.
